A quietly confident timepiece

The N01 First Edition Pure Silver is a sleek, everyday timepiece defined by clean, intentional lines, clarity of form, and exceptional wearability.

Rather than shouting for attention, the N01 was created to unfold slowly. Its refined details and traditional artisan techniques are allowed to “breathe”, gradually revealing themselves to the owner over time.

Every line is deliberate: from the curvature of the case, to the architectural shadow gaps separating the dial sectors, down to the delicate cantilever of the balance bridge, the N01 strips away ornamental noise to reveal a quietly confident timepiece.

Obsessive iteration

Our founder spent over three years and produced more than 130 3D-printed iterations to refine the design. This deliberate pace allowed him to engineer and design every detail of the N01 without compromise, whilst maintaining visual balance and tension between elements.

The N01 calibre was developed with renowned Swiss master watchmaker Jean-François Mojon and his team at Chronode.

Over the past two decades, he has engineered some of the most complex mechanical creations in independent watchmaking, earning the GPHG Best Watchmaker prize in the process.

The N01 case is executed by Voutilainen & Cattin, a team renowned for their expertise and artisanal approach to complex casemaking. With the exception of the sapphire crystals and gaskets, every component of the case is manufactured in-house by their artisans.

Les Cadraniers de Genève

N01’s artisanal dial is crafted by Les Cadraniers de Genève. Founded in 2000 by François-Paul Journe, they are among the most highly regarded dialmakers in Switzerland, and are behind some of the most iconic timepieces released over the last 25 years.

Mechanics

Engineered in collaboration with renowned Swiss master watchmaker Jean-François Mojon and his team at Chronode, the N01 calibre is a robust, manual-wound movement delivering an impressive 8-day (192-hour) power reserve - all while being 3.98mm thin and having a diameter of 31.1mm.

Driven by twin independent mainspring barrels, the movement’s architecture was rigorously designed to introduce absolute symmetry and maximise the visual space around the balance wheel.

    The structural centrepiece of the movement is the grade 5 titanium balance bridge.
    Designed to look as if cantilevered straight from the caseback, it is finished to the highest standards in horology: a rounded bercé profile, black polishing and straight brushing on the base connecting to the mainplate.

    The movement’s bridges are frosted (microbillé), treated with a dark anthracite galvanic coating, and executed with meticulously hand-finished bevels.

A key requirement for the N01 was exceptional wearability. Over three years, Marius made more than 130 3D-printed models, wearing them for weeks at a time, even to sleep.

Executed in Grade 5 titanium by the artisans at Voutilainen & Cattin, it provides an extremely snug housing for the movement and dial, measuring just 7.9mm thick (9.9mm including the slightly domed top crystal). Its architecture is clean and minimalist, with several different finishes which bring out the case geometry.

    The architecture of the case is clean and minimalist, but physically complex to achieve.
    The side profile of the case has a double curvature that tapers inwards as it curves towards the lugs. Marius looked to create a continuous visual line across the length of the case, which resulted in its tonneau-like shape.

    ergonomics

    A key requirement for the N01 was exceptional wearability. The C-shape was chosen for the case, as it hugs the wrist.
    The crown is recessed into the side of the case through a vertical cut, and has precisely 37 indents - a subtle “Easter egg” hinting to Marius’ age when he started NEODE.

    To give it a more restrained aesthetic whilst highlighting the geometry, the case features alternating finishes including circular brushing on the top and underside, straight brushing on the flanks, and polished bevels on the edges.

Crafted from 925 silver by Les Cadraniers de Genève, the Pure Silver dial is an exercise in subtlety.

Each sector of the dial is physically separated from the next through precise shadow gaps, creating natural depth.

To add to the visual distinction, the minute ring sits higher and has a brushed finish. The seconds-ring is recessed into the dial and features a precise azurage finish with diamond-cut edges. This allows each sector of the dial to catch and reflect the light independently.

To complete the dial, the hands are crafted from 18ct 210 grey gold with ceramic Super-LumiNova inserts.

An intimate ritual reserved for the owner.

Integrated into one of the dial’s shadow gaps, the teal power reserve indicator is a visual whisper, subtly recessed and visible primarily to the owner. Winding the N01 once every 8 days is an intimate ritual, to see the gauge gradually filling up with each rotation of the crown.

    Each Pure Silver dial is unique.

    N01 First Edition Pure Silver dials are frosted entirely by hand through a traditional artisanal technique called grenage (or graining), that involves texturing the surface using a mixture of cream of tartar, salt, and silver powder.
    Alongside a finely granular, matte look, it beautifully enhances the diffusion of light and gives the dial a textured yet luminous appearance.
